FREE STATE CALLS TENDERS.

DUBLIN, December 26. Tenders for three-year Exchequer Bills for £2,500,000, in amounts of £SOOO and £IO,OOO are being invited by the Irish Free State Government. /According to the “Irish Press” (a de Valera organ), the Government has been assured that the issue will be subscribed immediately at remunerative rates, a s it enables . firms to employ' their funds for the benefit of the country and themselves. Hospitals are expected to provide large amounts. The hospitals possess considerable resources because of the Hospital sweeps. ' The paper adds that the issue is the first practical step to create an actual money/market in the Irish Free State.
