The French luxury liner, Atlantique of 42,512 tons, while proceeding to Havre for overhaul, without passengers, was abandoned afire off the Casquets. The German steamer Ruhr toom off the crew of 260

The liner Atlantique which was abandoned afire off the Casquets, is reported to have cost £3,200,000. It is feared it may he a total loss, despite tugs and fire fighting equipment sent to the scene.
She is the biggest vessel in the South American trade, and has twelve decks, one containing branches of leading Paris shops, in the “streot”, which is 4550 feet long.
