Yesterday a poll was held throughout the Grey Power Board district on the question of the board raising a loan "‘of £25,000 for the reticulation of the country districts, principally the Grey Valley above Ngahcr.e and the Otira Lino. For a full district vote, this poll is the smallest on record sine the inception of the board, little interest having apparently been taken by the ratepayers, especially in Greymouth, as only 412 valid votes ueie counted last evening out of a roll of 3,500. The count last evening, liow--ner, die' not include the return from Mon nil, Westbrook and IncUbonnie, which are to come later, meaning a maximum of 13 votes. On last evening’s count* a majority of 118 votes was shown, but «s a three-fifths majority is required there were only ! mity votes more than such a majority. It is unlikely that the votes vet to come will affect the result, and it may be expected that the loan will have been approved. Restore colour to greying hair with Rachel Tony.
