committee meeting. The Committee of the above Club met at the rooms, Hamilton Street, at 8.20 o’clock last, .evening. Present: Messrs J. J. Mclntosh (President), F. -McGregor, H. Butland, J. J. Breeze, M. H. Houston, A. W. Yarrall, R. Whiley J. J. Mclntosh Jnr. and D. J. Evans. . Tire minutes of the previous meeting were confirmed, huj;dr Mrs Peake and family wrote thanking the Club for the kind expressions of sympathy in their late bereavement. D. Ryan wrote resigning membership. Mr E. W;.:’ Cardale, Stipendiary Steward at the late meeting, wrote thanking the Committee and Sewards for the courtesy and kindness extended to him, and hoping the fortunes of the Club would soon improve. In the course of his report on the meeting, the Stipendiary Steward wrote:—“The meeting; was well conducted the times' being kept as scheduled. The totalizator was well managed and-, prompt in balancing and paving out. The course was in good order.: : The time-’ allowed between tho races. Mas rather protracted.” The Racecourse Inspector reported one person was warned off the course. The list of enquires and fines was ■ discussed. It was resolved to ,remit one fine. - i . - A cordial vote of thanks was accorded the Municipal Band for its attendance at both, days’ races. The Treasurer’s.-statement of the recant meeting was read. This dis- ■ closed receipts £2515 18s 6d, and expenses, £2048 11s 6d, leaving -a deficiency of £32 13s. The Government taxation was £7OB 6s 6d, on which the Club was entitled to a refund of £l4B 17s Gd. The statement was received wit-li expressions of satisfaction, the Chairman stating that in : View of the postponement he was pleased with the result. A vote of thanks was passed to all who had kindly given their services to rsdst to the success of the meeting. The programme for the Easter Wednesday meeting (April 19") was considered, and set* led at £5lO for the clay, the programme including two trotting events. ' A request by Mr Lynch for a concession in the rent of the totalisaitor was agreed to. The meeting concluded at 9.45.'
