WEATHER FORECAST. Covering Western Karamea, Westport, Murchison, Reefton, Greymouth, Hokitika, Otirn, Arthur Pass, Ross, Okuru, at noon to-day : The general inference is that there is little change in the meteorological situation since yesterday morning. A slight anticyclone still covers the Tasman Sea t while the pressure is low to the east of New Zealand. A tropical cyclone passed yesterday through the Tonga Island group. The forecast is moderate southwest winds, some scattered showers, hut weather mainly fine with moderate temperatures. Seas moderate.
The Gael leaves Wellington on Friday for Hokitika. UNION COA PANY’S LINE 'I he Gahriella- leaves Greymouth tonight sea permitting for Melbourne, timber .laden. The Kiwitea is due at Greymouth next • Monday from Westport to complete her coal loading for Wellington. The Totara is scheduled to arrive at Greymouth to-morrow from Wellington to load coal for New Plymouth.
