The cast, is headed hy Amy Rochelle, a lady with a delightful soprano voice allied to great, historic ability, and Fred Bluett, who has, for years, bepn a prime favourite with city audiences. These two artists received flattering receptions ns did a’l th P other brilliant members of the company. Music; lover? were delighted with the violin solos by Rene Rich who i« one of Australia’s most brilliant girl players. Miss Rich, who is a great favourite with listener.? to 2FO and 2UE Sydney, “brought down the house” and had to respond, to doubly encores each night. Miss Addie Codings, besides possessing a charming stage presence, has.a delightful speaking voice and when in company with Mr Waiter Reynolds, tlr> double act proved one of th e features of the show. Mr Reynolds is an E :l gIsh comedian, of th? dro'] order ard proved to b? a great favourite with Hokitika audiences. The dancing of those tap dancers, “Roy anfl Cfherrie” showed these two aitist; to be.pnti ul arly clever and their items each night were loudly encored. Robert Raymond, baritone, ,Sid Wheeler, character comedian, Nancy Whitty, soubrett e , were artistg of distinction and in the ba’lcfc both 'danced and !look e d well. The star specialty act wa,s the sengafiona] aerial act of “The Flying Wartons.’’ This act must rank with the best ever seen in th e , Dominion. These artists were imported to Australia by Wirth Bic'o. a few years ago and since their circus engagement have been appearing regularly in the principal theatres of the 'Australian cities. 'Their item left the audiences spellbound. Local playgoers will be delighted to learn, that the company 'is to ..return to, Hokitika for 'Wednesday night next’ January 4th (trotting night) when the • best revue of the Repertoire “Making Whoopee’', will be produced. This play was recently staged with great .success at the Theatre Royal Sydney, and pa won 3 are in a good night’s fun by the return of this popular company.
