MURDER TRIAL
AFTER BEING ACQUITTED (United Pres* Association—By Electro Telegraph—Copyright.’* OTTAWA, December 28. For the first time in history an acquittal in a murder case has been disallowed by the Supreme Court, thus forcing a citizen to place his life in jeopardy twice for the same offence. On an appeal by the New Brunswick At-torney-General, a new trial bag been ordered for Norman Pitts, who was acquitted by a jury of slaying a neighbour in an affray.
