TWO MEN MISSING IN PLANE ON SEARCH FOR GOLD REEF. (Australian Press A uor/iation.)
SYDNEY, December 27
An aeroplane piloted by 11. Baker, with two passengers, p. Whelan and N. iStuckley, who were t r ying to locate a gold r e ef, is missing in Central Australia, and ,a request has been made to tho Air Force to provide search planes. Nothing has 'been heard of the •missing machine since last Thursday, when it left for th e Range, Central Australia.
PROPOSED GERMAN SERVICE
BERLIN, December 24
Commander Eckener and a group of Anglo-German businessmen have arranged to start regula r tranS-Atlantic Zeppelin services in the spring calling at G’ardington,' which has . been chosen, because it possesses a hydrogeneration plant. The promoters hope to maintain a weekly service via Seville, to America, and later, if finance is forthcoming, to Canada and the United States.
