The death took place yesterday at Ross of Mrs Christina Hallahan, relict of the late Mr Timothy Hallahan. The deceased was a native of Hokitika and 58 years of age. She leaves one brother (Mr George Nisson of Matainui), and one sister (Mrs H. J. Cuttance of Otago) to whom general sympathy will be extended. The deceased had a stroke six years ago and had a further seizure last Sunday, death ensuing at 8 o’clock last night. Both Mr and Mrs Hallahan were well known residents of the West Coast, having lived in South Westland and also in Ross. The funeral takes places at Matainui cemetery on Sunday afternoon.
