Tll reply to the telegram from the President of the League of Nations' Council requesting that no step be. taken which might affect Ihe status quo and thus aggravate the dispute with Britain regarding th e Angln-Pe.rsian Oil Company’s concession, the Persian Government gives its assurance that it will “continue to abstain from any act calculated to aggravate or extend the. alleged dispute,” The Persian Government has «iso oxpressed its .belief that the cancellation of the Oil Company's concessions is not calculated to provoke any conflict between the two Governments seeing that Persia has expressed her desire to arrive at an equitable agreement with the Company.
