THEFT OF £39B' AT GREYMOUTH. CANVASSER CONVICTED. (Per Press Association — Copyright.: GREYMOUTH, December 22. William Alfred Sandman, aged 37, was committed fo r sentence this morning for the theft of £398 13s 3d, the property' of the Australasian Temperance and General Mutual Life Society, by whom lie was employed as canvasser, and also on n charge of fraudulently altering a hank lodgment slip for £2/1//) to£s2/10/5. Bail was allowed, and accused was ordered to report to the police, weekly.
