He j crossed tbe creek, stumbled, and crasli- | r .d down a bank into some heavy blackj berry buslies. His struggles to free himself entangled him more in -the bushes and lie suffered agony. He was not strong enough to drag himself L clear. I That afternoon Hr Harold Pillman wa,s crossing tbe creek when be noticed the old man lying among the blackberries. He immediatly notified the police, . and Mr Ashley was rescued. The timely discovery undoubtedly saved lii« life. He was taken to the Pf.nlram.atta. Hospital suffering from exposure and shock.
