Following very heavy rams parts of tli e East Kimberley, Gaecoyno, and Murchison districts were flooded, andi numerous washaways occurred. A train was derailed near Meeketliarra where the water ran four feet high over the line. The engine sank into th e mud until the water entered the fire boxes. Traffic was -disorganised. A man wa« drowned when attempting to cross a flooded creek.
