During the debate in the Assembly on the Government’s transport policy. Mr Briixner, Alinister of Transport, said’ that the Government was prepared to consider offers by private enterprise to take over the trams and buses. If someone came along with an offer, and would give adequate safeguards and sufficient guaranee that the services would meet with the full requirements of the public, the Government would consider it.

DROWNING GIRL SAVED BY DOG

A huge vat of boiling fat -exploded at tho snap works at 'Mascot. .Am employee, Huntley (Quinn, aged 38, was killed. His body was terribly burned, and his clothes were torn to shreds. The fat was distributed in all directions.
