CRUELTY TO CATS
ANIMAL’S TONGUE CUT OUT. (Per Press Association — Copyright.) DUNEDIN, December 19. fwo oases of serious cruelty to cats have been reported to the Society ,for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals by an inspector, who stated that investigation of a complaint by a Roslyn resident showed that his oat’s tongue had been cut out at the root, while only a fortnight earlier a cat belonging to the owner of an adjacent house had its hind legs fastened together by wire tristed through the sinews. The police are endeavouring to trace the culprit.
