SELLING LIQUOR AT DANCES. (Per Press Association Copyright.) DANNEVIRIvE, December 20. Francis Stanley Rhodes, a farmer, of Maharahnra, last November disposed of ;i quantity of bottled beer to youthful patrons at dances at Maharahara and Terehunga. Complaints by parents led to action by the police, and Rhode® appeared before the Magistrate (Mr Miller) charged with selling liquor without being licensed. Accused pleaded guilty ami admitted having been before the Court before. H e was convicted and fined £ls plus court charges.
