This morning a leading produce firm ■received a cablegram from the United States as follows: “In view of the Dominion embargo on Australian fruit are you ordering Californian?” 'The reply was: “Ju view of America’s attitude to England,' certainly not.”
Local retailers have so far not considered any action.
