There was a big crowd present in * specially prepared arena at Johannesburg for the fight between YOuhg Stribling and Don McCorkindale, the South African champion. Stribling won on points. McCorkindale early drew first blood, but ihe wag thwarted by lii'S opponent’s, holding and maul'lpg. Stribling wass often warned. McCorkindale wag never dangerous looking, and he relied on defence.
