THRILLING CLIFF RESCUE. . Thrilling scenes were witnessed when 'the Appledore ketch Karah Evans was Wrecked between St. Ives and Newfjfuay. 'Hie crew of three were saved by being pulled rp the face of a precipitous cliff, 400 ft. high, with rope ladders. When the ketch was close to the shore she dropped her anchor and the rocket brigade fired a line across her, which the men on board managed to secure. Before the breeches buoy could be rigged up, however, the ketch dagged her anchor, struck a rock, and Was driven ashore, where huge waves daished over her. The crew jumped) overboard and, with the aid of a rocket line, managed to scraiwlt; on Jo a rocky ledge.
