SPORTS BOYCOTT
WAITARA -UNIONISTS’ THREAT CRICKET ENDS ABRUPTLY. NEW PLYMOUTH, December 15. A development in Waitarn, where members of the old freezing workers’ union have been out of work for over two months is stated to be the boycott of sports bodies unless their wishes are acceded to. • All recreation clubs of the town arc going through similar experiences. The Ciifton Rowing Club in stated to have received an intimation that it must ask one of its foremost oarsmen to resign, and the. Bowling Club has been informed through its president that unless three of its players nro culled on to resign, seven others connected with the old freezing workers’ union will leave.
