AND THE BUILDING SUBSIDY.

WELLINGTON, December 15 In a statement 1 regarding Scheme No. 10 for subsidised - building, the Acting-Minister of. Employment, Mr A. Hamilton, stated tlhat, t f ßowing. ,dn strong representations, the Unemployment Board, in an' enlargement of previous intentions, has now decided that a subsidy shall be paid on the registered unemployed labour engaged on all works approved in respect of the applications lodged on or before 31st December, 1C32, irrespective of whether such labour, has been engaged prior to or after, that,date; but the applications lodged after 31st December under this scheme, will not be considered on work extending beyond 30th June, 1933. However,, the subsidy will be reduced by 50 per cent, after- that date. -- ■■■ -
