REBUILDING NAPIER
PRAISE BY CHIEF JUSTICE. NAPIER, December 13. Warm praise of the progress N a pier is making towards complete recovery from the earthquake disaster wa, s expressed by his Honour the Chief Justice (S>r Michael Myers) when opening the Hawke,s Bay Adjustment Court at Napier this morning.
Voicing the pleasure felt by himseli and his 'associates, .Messrs L. 0. HTripp and H. J. von Haast ; at the change which had taken place since their .last visit, his Honour said ; c ‘lt is four months since Mr von Haast and I were last in Napier, and six months since Mr Tripp was here, and -all are delighted aiid astonished at the progress which hag been made in''the restoration, alid not only in the i>estora» t-ioti, but also in the beautifying of thifine little towns of yours. The improvements whch have been made on the waterfront are attractive and delightful; and the buildings which are v eiur erected would be a credit to any town in New Zealand.”
