COUNTY COUNCIL DECISION, (Per Press Association Copyright.) TAURANGA, December 14. The question of reducing salaries was discussed at length at a meeting of the Tauranga County Council yesterday anj a. motion was carried making a reduction of 5 per cent on all salaries and wages except those of the engineer, the engineer’s staff and the overseers. A motion was carried to the effect that the council greatly appreciates the Prime Minister’s proposal to reduce interest rates on loans.
