.RETURNS SHOW AN INCREASE

The United Kingdom trade returns 'for November show a slight increase both in import,a and exports, compared to the previous month. Compared with November last year, an improvement in the trade balance is indicated by a decline of over £2l millions in British imports as against a decrease of three-quarters of a million in the British exports.
Per eleven months of tho present ■year, British imports si ow 'an increase of £l42] millions and ‘the exports show a decrease of £24 millions, when compared with the corresponding period of 1931, the'figures this year being: Imports, £G42,575jG00; and exports £332, 641,000.
