£IOOO AID FROM ART UNION. HOKITIKA SHARE NOW TO HAND. The president of the Hokitika District Prospecting Association (Mr A. Mr X. Warren, of Hokitika; was appointed, and as the outcome of his visit the sum of £IOOO was allocated through My Lucky joay art union, to be divided between Hokitika, Reefton and Blackwater association* for administration in tneir respective districts. These associations have done what they can to assist prospectors, but their effofta have been *adly handicapped by depleted finances. Small comparatively though the Gum now received is, it is to be earnestly ‘ hoped that some direct benefit will accrue. It iq understood that a publ : • meeting may be called to decide upon the method in which this money can be, utilised to the results' most- beneficial to the district.
