FOOD POISONING

CHRISTCHURCH, December 13,

Thirteen cases of food poisoning were reported last week from the Karitane Baby Hospital, Cashmere. It is understood that the majority of those affected were members of the staff.

MOTOR-CYCLIST KILLED

TIMAKU, December 13. As the result of a collision in Evans Street late last night, between a motor cyclist and a lorry, the rider of the cycle, Frank Alexander Hall, aged 21, of Tiiuaru, lost his life. No one witnessed the accident. The cycle took fire and deceased's clothes became alight, while the contents of the lorry also suffered. Th e blaze was extinguished by the fire brigade.
