“Don’t shoot it,” is the urgent instruction of the Travamore (Macra: > Government to Forestry Deportment officials following reports that a wli te elephant has been seen in the hig.i ranges. The superintendent of the Zoo is overjoyed at tile prospect < t addihg such a rare specimen to his collection.
The Government hm therefore instructed officers to take every precaution to save the white elephant if ieports of its existence are prove'd true. With many- too, the beast is regarded as an omen of good fortune and its preservation will be received with great satisfaction.
