SYDNEY, December 8

The Federal High Court to-day allowed the appeal of Francis Devaney, the publisher of the "Workers’ Weekly,”- against his conviction and sentence co six months imprisonment on October 25.

The conviction was quashed, with costs against the Federal Crown law authorities^

Tb Court described the information against Devaney as "an amac.ing document,” and as calculated; to embarrass the trial,’ and the Court held the averments were insufficient in law to sustain the allegation against Devaney. _
