HIGHWAYS BOARD
NEW APPOINTMENT MADE, (Pt Press Association — Copyright.) WELLINGTON, December 8. A gazette notice last night cancels the appointment of Mr F. W. Furkert as the chairman of the Main Highways Board. The new chairman will be Mr C. J. McKenzie. .Mr Johi\ ; Wpod., inspecting Public Works engineer, 1 ? .Wellington, who..was formerly an acting-member, has now been appointed a member, and Mr A. J. Baker, also inspecting Public Works engineer, of Wellington, lias been appointed an acting-member.
