Mr Fritz Hart, of the Melbourne coiivorsatorium., who is a passenger by the Aornngi for Honolulu, wdl -arrange in Auckland preliminaries in connection with the singing scholarships under the bequest of the late Dame 'Nellie Melba. Pupils are eligible from the Australian -states, -and New Zealand, and the. awards will he made ea-rlv next . year. There are two scholarships of three years, and five of one, renewa'-le for further terms.
