The distinction of winning the Sir James Wilson medal for the leading student hr'the sheepfarining course at Massey Agricultural College this year, bus /alien to a lady student, Miss E. Richards, of Rakaia Gorge (Canterbury).
Other awards by the professional hoard include the Lord Bledisloe prize for the best student in his first professional year for the degree of Bachelor of Agdiculture, to W. M. Hilton, of Work worth. .
FARMER V. BANK CASE. WELLINGTON December 7.

CHRISTCHURCH, December 8
Charles Edgar MnPenk, « an'c-sinan, 43, was charged at the Police Court this morning with theft of L’lCO, about January 22 last, the property ol Alary Dotlilicv Orr.
The chief detective said that McPcak admitted tbe theft of £BSO and' complainant alleged that it "'as a good deal more than that-,£1500.
