ARGENTINE PRICES INCREASE

Answering in tile Commons a ques- j tion regarding the improvement in wholesale meat prices since the introduction of the import restrictions, Mr Bargin, of the Board of Trade, said that it is understood that the prices paid to producers in the Argentine have definitely increased. He was informed that the increase in the prices in London of mutton and lamb bad been reflected in the price paid to Australian producers, while there had been some increase in price for beef. The New Zealand season was just ooening; and, so far as could be seen the prices paid to producers confirmed with the London prices.
