A COLLISION
A LUCKY ESCAPE,

GISBORNE, December 7
A truck lad'en with sawn timber, collided i.vfth an Auckland car in Waioeka Gorge this morning, turned over and fell 23 feet. The driver, A. L. Beets, and a passenger named Ward, of Whakatanr, were buried underneath the timber, but were rescued without serious- injury.
The Auckland car was undamaged,
