ARAHURA FAT STOCK SALE.

The entry at yesterday’s fixture com- ' prised 81 head of cattle and 80 fat lambs which were submitted to a large ■attendance of butchers. Tile quality o the yarding was the average one, with ■ some pens of outstanding heavy beef. I For this class of cattle there was onlj fair competition while medium finisliei. weights were well competed for. Heavy ox made from 18/- to 20/-, medium weights to 22/6, light quality to 23/6. Best heifer beef to 21/-, Heavy ecm beef to 18/-. The lambs sold quite up to rates at other markets.

W. Jeffries and Co. sold as follows: For Perry and Co., 16 steers from £t to £7/12/6, 2 heifers and 2 cows from £2/2/6 to £4. For H. Busch, 2 steers at £6/7/6, 2 do.at £5/12/6. For D. Agnew 1 drv cow at £2/5/-. For J. HavilL 1 heifer at £4/12/6. For J. Condor and Sons 11 heifers from £5/12/6 to £7/2/6 1 cow at £5/12/6, 12 bullocks from £6/12/6 to £9.

In conjunction with Dalgety and Co. 80 lambs for T. Butler at 12/6 for the line. The next sale at these yards wil be Moiklpv 19th December, which will be the Christmas fixture.

M. HOUSTON AND CO.’S REPORT.

Messrs M. Houston and Co. repeat:— There was a very large yarding at yesterday’s sale at the Arahpra yards, consisting of over 80 head of fat cati*?, which were submitted to a large attendance of buyers. Competition was quite good at prices somewhat easier than those of the pervious sale, but in advance of those ruling at Addington at the present time. Best ox and heifer beef realised 20/- per hundred, heavy 18/-, and cow beef from 15'- to 18/-. We sold p:s follows:—On account of J. Mulvanov, 2 cows fit £4/12/6, i hoifprs at £7 2 bullocks at £6/15/-, 2 at £B, 2 p.t, £7, 2at £7/17/ft 3at £8 9/6. 1 at £7/2/A 1 stag at £3/10./-, 1 bullock at £6'ls/-: on account of WA Jamieson, 1 bullock at £i/l</6 2 at L-K/10/.. 1 co ,v at £7, lat £4/12/6. 2 bullocks at £6/17/6. 1 heifer at £5/10/-, 2 at £5/10/-, 2 bullocks at £6/12/6: fvn account o'* o 1, ""t. 1 bullock at £8 15/-, 1 cow at £7/10/-.
