The long series of earth tremors ■which have been disturbing Assam shows no sign of' abatement, Dhubri, which appears to 'he' the centre of the disturbance, continuing to register ono daily, while it is reported that a hill in the Gard Range in has become active, smoke issuing- from its crest. Experts do not anticipate any danger, believing that although Assam is o-n the volcanic chain, there is no cause for alarm.
