He pointed out that if the request that stations should bo allowed to announce tho programme was provided by “John Smith bootmaker, Lambton Quay, Wellington,” were granted, there would soon be a demand for an even greater concession.
. Hr Savage—That will be the time; to stop them. The Minister said he considered the announcement that a programme was by “John Smith, Lambton Quay, Millington,” was sufficient, and there were any number of company which would consider this sufficient return for their service. In the House of Representatives, Mr Forbes announced the busings the Government" intended to complete 'before the adjournment of the session. H e said besides bills on the order paper and before the select committees, ((which included the Local Legislation Rill and Washing up Bill), the following business remained to be dealt with.—
Supplementary Appropriation Bill, Finance Bill, New Zealand Loans Bijl (a consolidated measure), and Reserve Bank Bill. This would be introduced; and circulated but it is not proposed to go any further with" it this year. ' Small Farm Bill—This would be dealt with if possible. Education -Amendment Bill, Property Law Amendment Bill, Pont and Telegraph Amen'dmeut Bill, Reformatory Institutions’. Bill.
Air Savage; Will you finish all these next week or next year. Air Forbes; I hope, with the assistance of members of the Opposition to be able to finish by next Thursday night. He said it would be the Government’s endeavour to finish then.
