A FURTHER CUT TO OPERATE FROM TO-DAY. % (Per Press Association—- Copyright.) WELLINGTON, December 1. , The Associated Banks have agreed to reduce, as from,to-morrow (i.e. on and after 2nd. December, 1932) their: interest rates on fixed deposit. to the foillowing rates Three months and uhdßJ six months: Two and a-half per cent. Six month® and under 12 months: Two and three-quarter per cent. Twelve months and under twentyfour months: Three per cent. Twenty-four mouths: Three and aquarter per cent. These new rates will apply, of course, only to new deposits and to renewals. Substantial amounts on fixed deposits for twenty-four months at five per cent, per annum will not mature till July 31, 1933. Other deposits at four and a-half per cent, will run till May 3rd., 1934, and other deposits at four per cent, will run till December 1, 1934.
