Troops assisted police to search the bazaar area sjn Dacca fbr terrorists who were believed to be hiding there, The police have discovered what are believed to be twenty-four bombs hidden in straw at Netrokona, East Bengal. The owner of the house and several others were arrested.

The discussion on the special .powers and responsibilities of the GovernorGeneral and Governors was continued by the Indian Round l Table Conference. Generally, it was agreed that the powers must be granted to the GovernorGeneral to carry out effectively the responsibilities entrusted to him, including powers to take immediate action to meet any emergency that might rise.
