BANK ROBBERY
A BIG HAUL IN NEW YORK. (United Press A jsociation—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) NEW YORK, Nov. 29. A correctly-dressed young man, who twirled a. cane, talked pleasantly with the customers in the Continental Bailk in New York’s financial district. Then, while the teller was momentarily absent, the visitor nimbly reached his cane into the cage of steel, and hooked and snagged five “Liberty” Bonds, worth one hundred thousand dollars each, to the the bearer.
The theft was discovered within three minutes, but the handsome visitor had then departed.
