Sir John Simon (Foreign Sotretnry), paid a tribute to Lord Cecil for his work at Geneva to abolish th<^ slavery that still remains in various parts of the world. It would be an immense achievement; s.if a new greater parliament would at Geneva do something which corresponded with what was done in our national life by Wilherl’orce and his friends. One of the great tenets of the use-
fulness of Geneva would be whether the nations would ox* would not be able
t 0 see something real done in the next few years for the effective abolition of slavery from the world. Sir J. Simon is returning to Geneva on Thursday.
