ANTARCTIC TRAVEL
SIR H. WILKINS-’ PROPOSAL. COMPREHENSIVE WORLD TOUR. (United Press Association -By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) NEW YORK, November 30,
Sir Hubert Wilkins speaking at a luncheon to- tourist agents, said that he had been long minded to call attention to the pleasure of Antarctic travel to tourists, who had an unjustifiable fear of the Antarctic. There were no worse storms in the “roaring forties” than there were some times in the Black Sea. He suggested a world tour from north to south via the Orient, the East Indies, and Australia; thence to the Antarctic from the south of New Zealand to Ross Sea-; and thenoe to Gape Horn, the Falkland lslands j and South America.
Lady Wilkins accompanies h6r husband on next season’s Antarctic trip. Mr Ellsworth, who plans to- marry, will also be accompanied by Mrs Ellsorth. Lady Wilkins will write a book on her experiences in the Antarctica. 'Special apparel is to- be taken by her for ensuring safety and comfort.
