RONALD COLMAN IN “RAFFLES.” “.Raffles,” the most delightful and lovable character of modern times!— the role fits the magnetic, personality of Ronahl C.olman as hi s Bond Street clothes fit the man! Debonair—Audacious. A handsome rascal who fascinated women. A Don Juan with hearts, a Captain Kidd with diamonds—such is “Raffles,” the amateur cracksman! In addition Colman is surrounded by actors and actresses who speak correct English, and the resultant dialogue is a plca.sure ; lacking any; suggestion of harsh twang usually associated with dramas of this kind. The whole picture is thoroughly redolent of England and English country life atmosphere. The characters move with that little “something” that bespeaks culture from the English standpoint. The cast includes: —Kay Francis, David Torrence, Francis Dade. A good supporting pro gramme, including a Micky Mouse cartoon will also be shown.
