The Whites protested, asking for deoertation to Manchuria.
The Nationalist leader, M. Iwata. belonging to the Nippon Patriotic gi'ci.’ty, pleaded vainly with the Home OT-e, which refused to interfere. .Eventually, the prisoners were shipped ’iiv a Soviet steamer to Vladivostok.
