POLICE REPORT
OF RECENT FINDINGS
The police report that on 3rd. November, Maoris found a waist coat on the beach to the north of Araliura river. On November 17th., a sac coat was found on the beach near Ruatapu. These two articles have been identified as the coat and vest that were worn by Mr J. Peake, at the time of his disappearance on the night of October, 16th. About the 9th. November, a human hand 1 was found on the- teach near Point Elizabeth and was taken possession of by Constable Houston of Dunollie, hut advice v .s not given locally till two dev: ago. Yesterday an inspection was made of the hand, which was in an " •.lvanc' , d -state of decomposition, by Messrs E. 0. and G. B, Haussmruin, but they were not able to sentiiiy it*
