LONDON, November 1". Miss Elizabeth Eva n s, a waitress, of Walworth, secured £l2O damages from L Hamper, a costumier, in. the King’s Bench Division in connection with a fur cqat , which she bought f° r ®7s. After wearing the coat spots developed on her face and neck, resulting in disfigurement and preventing her from going out for several ’ months. The diagnosis was dermatitis, due to the fur.

Hamper testified that the coat was sold as it was received from Harris Rappaport,\ a. fur dealer, who was cited as a third party. Rappaporb said that lie obtained the skins from L. de Vos, of Belgium, and made the coats without further treatment. Vos was cited as fourth party. Rappaport s.aid that lie understood that the fin’s were Australian ralihit skins and underwent treatment in Belgium, completely aßering their appearance. The Court held that there was a breach of warranty, hut that there was n„ negligence on the part of Hamper, v.jlio was givoln judgment . against Rappoport, who, in turn, was given judgment against Vos.
