OTTAWA, November 22. . 1 The third reading of a bill implementing a Polish-Can'adian 'trade treaty was passed by the House pf Commons on Tuesday night by 84 votes to 42. The Conservatives solidly supported tne bill, while the Liberals opposed it. The other groups were split.
VICTORIAN LEGISLATION. MELBOURNE, November 23. The Victorian Legislation Council has passed a bill providing heavy penalties for the printing or publishing of false advertisements, 'Or displaying them on any kind r* hoarding or building. The bill safeguards newspaper proprietors. It also provides that private persons cannot launch prosecutions without the consent of the ktf officer*.
