MAN PINNED UNDER TRUCK.

ASHBURTON, November 22. Mr Frank J. E. Small bone, of Smnlibono Bros.’ garage, was admitted to the Oabhurst Private Hospital late last
night in an unconscious condition as the result of a. motor' accident. He was proceeding north along the main highway about 11.30 p.m. to attend a breakdown when his motor truck struck a power pole opposite Mr M. Bruce’s residence.
When found by Mr J. MacMillan, a school teacher, of Westerfield, Mi Smnllbotic was pinned under the truck, which was extensively damaged. Assistance was secured and Mr Smallbone, who was unconscious, was extricated,
