OFFICIAL SHOT
BY TERRORISTS IN INDIA. CALCUTTA, November 19. Mr Charles Luke, superintendent of the Rajshahi gaol, Calcutta, was shotnear the gaol compound while driving with his wife and daughter. Three bullets struck Mr Luke, who was sent to hospital. The assailants escaped. | Later several houses were searched and two priests made at Rajshahi. Details of the affair reveal that one of the assailants threw a cycle in front of Mr Luke’s car, causing him to stop. The others then fired three shots, one of them fracturing Air Luke’s jaw. However, he piuckily drove the car to his home, where he collapsed. He i's now progressing in hospital.
