The Deputy Leader of the Opposition, Mr Forde, was suspended for th© remainder of the sitting, after a rowdy scene in .the Rouse of Representatives, during consideration ip committee of the Ottawa Agreement 1 Bill. Following Mr Forde j being called to order several times, Sir Parkhill, who had charge of the House, subsequently moved amid uproar that Mi’ Forde be suspended. Opposition tellers declined to take count and the motion was agreed to.
Earlier there had been a scene of wild disorder. . ■
Only an hour was allowed by the Government dor the) discussion of article twelve, which wa s held by the Labour Party to be the most contentious of the agreement. When Mr Parkhill ros© t 0 speak, Labour members began shouting, and it was impossible lor Mr ParKhill to make himself heard above the din of interjections which lashed for ten minutes.
•Mr ißiordan was named, but with> drew, and apologised, When the guillotine fell, Mr Parkhill and Mr Beasley were on their feet shouting at each other at th© top of their voices-
