REDUCED BY LEGISLATION

SUVA, November 15,
A special session of tihe Fiji Legislative Council reduced the customs tariff to the rates formerly charged schedule* countries to comply with the Dominions’ request. Legislation has also been introduced indemnifying tile consequent on the Government action on November sth mak'ng duty payable as the invoice value, with an allowance or addition for exchange. This gives Australia an advantage over New Zealand of two per cent, on imports.
